Job description
QA Automation Engineer
As a QA Automation Engineer at Itekako, you will join a dynamic and collaborative engineering environment where quality is a priority. We’re looking for engineers who are passionate about automation and can help us raise the bar for reliability, performance, and user experience.
- Write clear, maintainable, and reusable automated test scripts using tools like Selenium (Python/Java), Cypress and Playwright
- Collaborate closely with the rest of the team to understand requirements and ensure test coverage
- Contribute to the setup and enhancement of CI/CD pipelines for automated testing
- Perform code reviews of automated tests and contribute to continuous improvements in test strategy
- Analyze test results, detect and report bugs, and assist in root cause analysis
- Advocate for quality best practices and drive the adoption of automation across teams
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and strategies, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in QA automation
- Strong proficiency in Selenium with Python or Java, Cypress/Playwright with JavaScript
- Solid understanding of test automation principles, frameworks, and best practices
- Familiarity with API testing and tools such as Postman
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and within CI/CD environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented analytical mindset
- Full working proficiency in English
